Funny Bones is a side project of ours that we created as a fun joke for Halloween 2024. Since then,  when we have been in a games fair we have showcased the game on the side as a fun complement to Cerpan Project and we realized something... people liked it!

Maybe it's because it is something different, maybe it's due to its arcade nature, we don't know but it tends to hook the players, even the young ones. So, we decided to give it an upgrade, here is the list of things done during the last few months:

• Generalization of the 'Dialogue System' of Cerpan Project into what we call the 'Sequence System'. Anything that is an ordered list of events or actions can be managed by that system in a recursive way. That translates to 'Dialogues', 'Levels' and a combination of both, which leads us to the nex point.
• Story! We have created an introduction to the mechanics of the game through a small (3 Levels) demo as a proof of concept. We want to expand on it and create a short story for you to enjoy.
• Great improvement of the 'Localization System' for better performance and faster development. 
• Scores and Challenges: at the end of each level you will have a scores screen to see your performance and the challenges that you have completed that reward you with Skulls (Stars).
• Many bug fixes.

Roadmap:

Our goal for this game is to release a final version next Halloween (31/10/2025) to give completeness to this project. That includes:

• A level selection screen.
• Cards with new abilities.
• New modifiers.
• A short story.
• Fix the bugs that will appear along the way.
